Salisbury and District Netball Association held a Christmas fundraising tournament on Tuesday 13th December raising in excess of £1,500 in support of Amelia Russell, an 8-year-old girl who is suffering from Neuroendocrine carcinoma, a rare cancer in the form of a tumor which has spread to her bones. The tournament took place with 10 teams from the Salisbury League, who all raised funds through entry fees, selling raffle tickets and providing festive hampers for the event. The league committee contributed more prizes and thank you to Sally House and Karlene Jammeh who also obtained further fund raising, donated prizes and provided seasonal treats.
Salisbury and District Netball Association is very grateful to Five Rivers Leisure Centre and Blue Jays Netball Club for their help in supporting the event.
